What can ruin your look more than dark circles and puffy eyes?
This eye inflammation may be caused by allergies, sleepless nights, too much time spent at the computer, too much (or too little) sleep or simply accelerated aging.
But whatever the cause of puffy eyes is, the remedy is in the kitchen!
1. Slice a cucumber! Dermatologists are not sure what the anti-inflammatory “cause” behind the cucumber is, but here’s a possible explanation: cucumbers contain a combination of natural acids that reduce water retention in the body. Some beauty experts also believe that the effect of applying cucumbers on the eye is more intense when they are cold.
2. Defrost a bag of peas! Any bag of vegetables is effective, but a bag of frozen peas “sits” better on the eyes. Wrap the frozen peas bag in a soft material to protect your skin from the “impact” with the ice and leave it for 5-10 minutes. Your eyes will be fresher than ever!
3. Take a milk bath! Milk is a miracle for irritated and swollen eyes. However, do not use skimmed milk because fat is the most important component in this case. In addition to fat, milk also contains other ingredients effective on the puffy eyes such as proteins, amino acids, lactic acid, and vitamins A and D.
Pour milk into a bowl of ice, soak a towel in that milk and then apply it on your eyes for 15 minutes. The effects will be seen immediately!
